Choir Photo

We had a photo shoot with our choir on Sunday to update the photo.
This is The Philharmonic Chamber Choir of Singapore. :-)
It's a group of about 30 singers, so not quite everyone was in attendance.
They just sent us one of the photos, and I thought I'd pass it along!

When we perform an Asian program (as we are this Sunday), the women wear Batik skirts and a red Indian silk top. My top was quickly made when we were in Thailand, which saved me bucket loads and let me find a more flexible silk that could work for a maternity top.

Now off to practice my contemporary Asian a capella music and try to perfect my Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, Tagalog, and other!

Beau's presentation - beanbag song

Beau's class presentation was today and it was precious! Beau did such a good job on both the English and Chinese songs!

While Lewis's teachers had put the tall kids in front (not sure why, but it worked out for me to have better video!), Beau's teachers had gone for the more traditional taller ones at the back set up. So, not quite as clear a view!

So proud of Beau and these little ones...that's quite the undertaking for 3 year olds!

Also, Beau's class is also split in two, like Lewis's, for most of the day. But, they had their presentation all together, whereas the groups performed separately for Lewis's age.

Lewis and his class perform the Singapore song

Lewis had his class presentation today. It was fabulous! 20 minutes of singing and dancing...they all did such an amazing job!

Here's their Singapore song, following on a mini-theme for National Day, which we just celebrated on Saturday.

It hit me during it...we've really moved our kids here and it's completely shaping their experiences, outlook, exposure, learning, etc., even after just 2 months. Crazy!

Beau and Charlotte

Beau had a play date with our neighbor, Charlotte, the other week. These are two peas in a pod. They both have a similar energy and friendliness and have lots of fun!

Charlotte was wearing her new Elsa costume and Beau really wanted to get in on the dress up action! Adorable!!!

Lewis singing the Mandarin bunny song!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQMiKZk48yI

Yay! I've been having trouble figuring out how to upload videos from my new phone! Think I got it!

Here's our cute Lewis singing the bunny song in Mandarin. He loves it! And, his teachers have pulled me aside a couple times to tell me what a good job he's doing in his Chinese class! He loves the songs and copying the characters...and the idea that eventually he and Beau will be able to secretly speak to each other without mommy and daddy knowing what they're saying, just like mom and dad sometimes do in Spanish or French!
