Holiday Joseph dance party

What would the first day of the Easter term holidays be without a Joseph dance party?!?

Brotherly love!

David might only be able to say Beau's name (and consequently calls Lewis 'Beau' sometimes...easiest name in the world!!!), but he sure loves his biggest brother!

Easter Bonnets!

We're in love with this British Easter tradition, brought to us by the boys' school this year. All the young children wore Easter bonnets to school today. I had googled it, wondering what types of hats the boys should wear, assuming this would be classy bonnets and hats.

No, no! This is the tradition where kids let loose with their creativity. Glue and attach just about anything you can think of that's springy of Eastery to a hat!

I'll need to get a new pic of Beaus, because he asked Mike to add a statue of eggs with a rubber ducky to the top of his too, just like Mike's. Very cute!

Mike will be wearing his to work tomorrow, as Good Friday is a public holiday here.

Happy Easter! Wish we were eating ham and doing an egg hunt with you all!

Lewis' Easter Assembly

To help you get into the Easter spirit, here is Lewis' class acting out the Easter story for the primary school assembly. Lewis played Judas. He did a great job!

A trip home from the wet market

Just had to capture this, because it's one of my favorite things of the week here.

Every Tuesday morning I visit the wet market. It's a 20 min walk from our place. Market for fruit, vegg, fish, meat, and some other Chinese cooking goodies. It's by far my favorite way to shop. A bit smelly, always slightly chaotic. The shopkeepers I go to are so nice and helpful. They let me know what fruit is in season and is really sweet, and they always try to interest me in $12 raspberries.

This photo was after Chinese New Year, and my chicken man had an ang bao for David (envelope with 2 $2 bills, because everything is given in pairs for CNY, for prosperity).

David saying thank you

This is the best word to learn ever!!!
You better believe I've positively reinforced this one up the wazoo!!!

And, I know...the head cock to the side...so cute, and totally picked up from me!
