Beau’s class chicks hatched!

Finally, Beau's class had a very special event his past week. Families were invited to come and meet the class chicks who had finally all hatched from their shells. They had been caring for them, keeping the eggs in the incubator, turning them multiple times a day, and finally feeding them once they had hatched. I think it was the cutest half hour of my year! Playing with 11 chicks and 18 1st graders!!!

David’s school pictures

Look at this cutie!

And, does anyone spy a darling, familiar looking bear in the class photo? They did school photos on the same day as their annual teddy bear picnic, to which snuggle bear from Didi was the guest of honor!

Celebrating Lewis getting into STEM program

Just recording a lovely evening we had this past week.

We found out that Lewis was accepted into the lottery based STEM magnet program in our school district. Mike and I had a really special evening with him talking through the pros and cons and praying with him about the decision. We're so excited for him!

We then spent the next evening having a major therapy and empathy session for Beau who was heartbroken to hear his brother won't be at the same school as him next year and won't be able to have their adventures walking home from school together. That is the huge downside.

We celebrated with Thai food in the park and ice cream afterwards...although Beau chose a chocolate frog instead. A very wise, wizarding choice!

This David is just edible!

Love this sweet little boy!
