Visiting the real Thomas!

This is our family's happy place! Out in Amish country in train heaven. We surprised David and took him to see the real Thomas. He was so thrilled and amazed, just like the other boys had been at that age! It was such a fun day!

Summer fun & work

Lewis had a half birthday play date with four friends. Here are a few of them working at a game of Clue.

Chinese banquet and Father’s Day

Our dear friend Bing's family and our family have the most delightful tradition. They come over to our house and she cooks up some amazing Asian dish. We provide the home, dessert and a side, and the clean up. She's the best!!!

After that, Father's Day breakfast in bed and Mike with a couple friends of ours and the super dad trophy at our bbq in the evening.

David and Beau moments

Here's David at the end of his pre-school year with his teachers and his best friends, Sebastian and Pearl. He loves his people!

Beau had an author's exhibit at school where Mike and I got to have him present his literary creations from across the year.

Adventures with Beau

Beau loves getting hurt. Or sick.
He loves the extra attention and time at home and reading and videos. Besides that, he's quite fascinated with the tools at the doctor's office. He had a tiny fracture on his pinky from his little brother slamming the car door on his hand. Here he is below THRILLED to be out of school and then happy as a clam, reading the newspaper at the radiologist's office.

After that a couple photos from his 1st grade end of year party, which I volunteered at. A very happy boy!

Beau 1st grade play

Beau performed in the "Bugz Show" yesterday. It's the annual 1st grade production, and it was so cute. Beau was cast as a Boll Weevil...see the pun! He performed with confidence and style.
